Professional Membership is $50 a year for a full-time educator. Associate Membership is $25 a year for a part-time educator. Student Membership is $5 a year for adult education students. Retiree Membership is $20 a year for retired adult educators. Educational Institution/Business Subscriptions are $500 a year and can be one of the following: School District/County Membership option provides districts the opportunity to pay one price and make all of their adult education personnel an ACE member. Included would be all full-time and part-time adult education personnel in the district as well as all full-time and part-time adult education support staff. The cost of membership is based on UWFTE. ACE Member Benefits
Professional Membership
Shall include individuals who are actively engaged in adult and community education as their primary professional responsibility. Professional members are entitled to vote in all elections and to hold office if qualified.
Associate Membership
Shall include, but not be limited to, part-time, adult and community educators, volunteers, and other individuals who have an interest in adult and community education, but do not qualify or wish to be considered for professional membership. Associate members are entitled to vote for district directors and may be nominated to run for that office. Associate members cannot vote for, or be elected to, statewide office. Upon nomination for district director, and before the election, an associate professional member must upgrade their membership to the professional membership level.
District/County Membership
School District/County Membership option provides districts the opportunity to pay one price and make all of their adult education personnel an ACE member. Included would be all full-time and part-time adult education personnel in the district as well as all full-time and part-time adult education support staff. Educational Institutional Membership
An institution with an interest in adult and community education may become a
member of the association through an institutional subscription.
Institutional can be one of the following:
(A) Educational Institution includes one (1) professional membership (full-time educator) and four (4) associate memberships (part-time educators) OR includes three (3) professional memberships (full-time educators).
Business Membership
A corporation or association with an interest in adult and community education may become a member of the association through an institutional subscription.
Business includes two (2) professional memberships
Retired Membership
Includes individuals who have retired from the educational profession and have an interest in adult and community education. Retired Educator Members cannot vote or be elected to the board or hold statewide office
Student Membership
Includes individuals who are currently enrolled in adult education, community education or literacy education classes or programs who are supportive of adult and community education. Student members cannot vote or be elected to the board or hold statewide office
