Beyond the Test: Unlocking STEPS and GOALS 2 for Student Success - Broward College

CASAS assessments are more than testing tools, they are powerful instructional and programmatic resources when used intentionally. This interactive three-hour workshop is designed to help adult education instructors, proctors, and coordinators move beyond compliance and use STEPS and GOALS 2 to inform instruction, strengthen alignment with standards, and support measurable student growth.

Participants will explore how assessment data connects to daily classroom practice, instructional planning, and student goal-setting. Through hands-on activities, real-world scenarios, and guided discussions, attendees will learn how to interpret score reports, identify learning gaps, and leverage CASAS resources to improve student outcomes and program effectiveness.

This session is not a CASAS certification or recertification training. Instead, it focuses on deepening understanding, building confidence, and promoting best practices for using STEPS and GOALS 2 as tools for student success.
