Adult Education Summer Symposium

May 30 - June 2, 2006

World Golf Village Renaissance Hotel

St. Augustine, FL

Supporting the new initiative from Dr. Bonnie Marmor, the Vice Chancellor of Community Colleges and Workforce Education, Florida Department of Education, the Practitioners Task Force Committees are joining together to bring you the Adult Education Summer Symposium. This effort by all the Practitioners Task Force committees is to come together to Collaborate, Coordinate and Communicate as we “Ride the High “C’s” on May 30 – June 2, in St. Augustine.

For this year’s summer training, the format will be in the symposium style. Instead of having a variety of concurrent sessions, each of the six adult education tracks will meet together in separate rooms. The different focus area tracks will be: ABE; ESOL; Family Literacy; GED; VPI; Adult Secondary. Each of these tracks will have panel discussions, experts in the field, audience question and answer participation, and updates both from the state and national level.
